My only criticism of this edition is that there seems to be a page missing from the original before the prologue, there is a page with the following: "What one fool can do, another can. But I bought this edition because I wanted a printed copy to have lying just in case my children would pick it up. The original work is in the public domain, and in fact I do have a scanned version of the second edition from 1914. Indeed, it took me best part of 50 years to discover a calculus book that I'd enjoy reading! I can only imagine the joy of schoolboys in 1910 reading this book versus whatever else was available at the time.

The importance of this book is in the fact that it's written by a person who knew how to explain calculus and made it easy, approachable and funny. On the content I would agree with other reviewers that a modern day reader would probably not know what a farthing is, or even worse they would be confused by the billionth being a millionth of a millionth, but knowing that the book was originally written in 1910 adds to the value and of course prompts the reader to try and understand deeper the historical context. The book is large (almost A4 size), larger than I thought it would be. The text is large and the formulas and graphs are printed perfectly with modern typefaces and graphics. If you can't get your hands on a very old copy, this edition is the best of the modern reprints (avoid the Kindle one at all costs).
